CONCEPT
The war is inside.

What we can do against the war is to contemplate our desire for violence inside ourselves. Contemplation as an opportunity to become conscious. Consciousness as an opportunity to make a choice. Having looked deeper, one can see that rejecting something that exists is the first step towards violence.

The rules we developed for this work is a challenge for us. Following the rules we face the questions:

How long can we act in acceptance of our partners, audience's attention, and ourselves?

Can we register when and how the resistance appears?

What we really feel when we enter the conflict?

To which extent can we be honest in following the rules while performing in public?

HISTORY
The stage version of the work was create in 2015.

Before that, the work existed as a site specific performance at The Street Art Museum in Saint Petersburg.
